Remich, the little "Pearl of the Moselle", is the starting point of this loop through the vineyards of Luxembourg's Moselle valley. From the riverbank the path climbs into the slopes above the town, where Rivaner, Riesling and Pinot grapes ripen, opening wide views across the river to the German side.

The Moselle shapes everything here: the climate, the landscape and the villages with their winegrowers' estates. Up on the plateau you walk between vine rows and hedgerows; down below, Remich's long riverside promenade is the perfect place to finish while river cruisers glide past.

The climb into the vineyards is the loop's only real ascent — rewarded by one of the finest views over the Moselle valley, especially in the evening light. In autumn, during the grape harvest, the route is at its most atmospheric.
